Operation Christmas Child

It’s time to fill shoeboxes full of gifts to bless boys and girls in need around the world while introducing them to Jesus Christ! National Collection Week is just one month away, so please note the following updates as you get your shoebox gifts ready.

Gift Suggestions:

Start with a quality “wow” item such as a stuffed animal, soccer ball with pump, or clothing outfit that will capture the child’s attention the instant he or she opens the box. Then place other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies to fill the shoebox. Don’t forget! A $9 donation per shoebox gift is critical to cover shipping and other ministry expenses.

If you do not want to make a box you can partner with us and be a shipping supporter and donate $9 per box. Please give your donation to Genine Golba.

Items not allowed in the shoebox die to regulations:

Candy; toothpaste; used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food; seeds; fruit rolls or other fruit snacks; drink mixes (powdered or liquid); liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.

You can pick up a box to fill in the front foyer. We re asking that you turn in your boxes no later than Sunday, Nov. 19th so that we can have them ready to bring to the drop off location. Receiving a small shoebox with toys, school supplies, and other useful items makes children who have so little very happy. But most importantly, each toy fill shoebox is a vessel to carry the message of the greatest gift ever given, salvation through Jesus Christ, and the greatest love a child will ever know, God’s love.

Jesus wants the little children to come to him. Pack a shoebox. Send the truth of God’s love and His plan for Salvation. Then trust that God will use your shoebox gifts as a vessel to open the hearts of children for Jesus. If you have any questions, please contact Genine Golba at 628-7547
