Church History: Right After the Apostles
Introducing Sunday Evening Summer Studies!
A set of series we are excited to offer you this Summer. Our first study will be on Church History! We will focus in on the centuries immediately following the apostles. Come and learn about Ignatius who coined the term “catholic”. What does it mean and why did he come up with? Learn about the fourth bishop of Rome, Clement, and his view on faith and works as they relate to salvation. Then there is also Tertullian who coined the term “Trinity”. This 2nd century apologist near the end of his life defected to a group known as the Montanists. Why did he join them? What made that group different from the mainstream church of the time? It is important to study history so we can learn from both the triumphs and the failures. We can’t wait for you to join us for this study!
